As we want to make sure you celebrate the end of the year with a bang, we have put together a whole range of activities for the whole family to enjoy.
The Riverside Carpark will turn into bustling hive of activity with a range of activities, amusements and yard games.
FIREWORKS DISPLAY
Head into 2024 with a bang at Maitland New Year’s Eve celebrations.
Watch the sky light up with a spectacular display of fireworks sponsored by Valley Estate Agents at 9.00pm.
RIVERSIDE STAGE
The Lairs and Hamilton Alley are set to entertain crowds on the Riverside Stage at Maitland New Year’s Eve Celebrations.
Be sure to head down and check them out!
5.00pm – 6.30pm: The Lairs
7.00pm – 9.00pm: Hamilton Alley
KIDS ACTIVITES
There will be a range of arts and craft activities to keep the little ones entertained from 5.00pm – 9.00pm.
Come along and colouring in and decorate your very own party hats and more!
FACE PAINTING
We know how much the kids love face painting, so we have made sure to get some talented face painters to decorate the kids.
Face painters will be located at Lorn, Riverside Car Park and near the Bourke Street link.
LAWN GAMES
Head over to Lorn this New Year’s Eve.
There will be a range of lawn games for the whole family to enjoy!
AMUSEMENT RIDES
There will be free amusements for the kids to enjoy at Maitland New Years Eve.
At the Riverside Car Park there will be Teacups, Auto Racer, and Rocking Tug.
At the Lorn there will be Fibreglass Mega Slide.
FREE POPCORN
Enjoy New Years Eve Celebration with the complimentary delight of free popcorn.
KIDS DISCO
Boogey your way into 2024 with the hottest hits from the year that was 2023.
Enjoy a live family friendly DJ from 5.00pm to 8.45pm located near NAB laneway.
There will be a range of tasty food and drinks at Maitland New Years Eve.

PHOTO WALL
Be sure to capture New Years Eve fun by using the Photo wall located in the Riverside Car Park created by Flor Foral Design.
DJ PAUL
There will be a DJ located in the Riverside Car Park from 5.00pm – 9.00pm.
Paul Johns is local to the Maitland area, passionate about supporting the community, and breaking down barriers and stereotypes of living with a disability.
Along with being a family man and support worker, Paul has a passion for music and making people dance and is excited to bring in 2024 with the local community.
VIVA LOS MAITO!
Jen Denzin has created an interactive installation of 6 cone-shaped tree-forms 2 metres high with solar lights and shiny silver tinsel-flowers.
The cones will be arranged as a kind of tunnel for people to walk through at Maitland New Years Eve.
ROVING PERFORMERS
There will be a roving performer throughout Maitland New Years.
Eddie Spaghetti family friendly antics are all about fun interaction and tons of audience participation as kids become on the spot magicians!
Come and join Eddie with his magic tricks, silly jokes, playful banter and just plain silliness!
