For the first time, Maitland’s Official Australia Day Ceremony, which also includes Maitland’s Australia Day Awards and citizenship ceremony, will be held indoors at Maitland Town Hall from 10.00am on Sunday 26 January.

The Maitland community is invited to attend but for those who cannot attend in person, the ceremony including keynote address, Australia Day Awards and citizenship ceremony will also be live streamed on Council’s website.

2017 NSW Australian of the Year, Deng Adut will feature as the keynote speaker at Maitland’s Official Australia Day Ceremony.

In Maitland Park

12.00pm – 5.00pm

Following the Citizenship Ceremony in Maitland Town Hall, Australia Day Celebrations presented by The Mutual will continue in Maitland Park.

With free entry to Maitland Aquatic Centre, a free BBQ lunch, stalls, amusement rides, craft activities, beach activities and more, its a perfect day out for the whole family.

Australia Day Celebrations in Maitland is a free event for all to come along and enjoy.
Maitland Pool has free entry from 12.00pm till 5.00pm.
